What you buy
A one-time unlock ($49.99), on the device where you paid (or up to three devices with a gift code), of the gap list, documents to ask for, letters filled in, dates to watch, public records checklist, calculator and PDF builder. No subscription.
$49.99 is a launch price, half the regular $99.99, for the first 100 purchases (gift codes included). After that the price is $99.99. The price shown at checkout is the price you pay.
Cancellation and refunds
Own & Owe provides informational tools intended to help users organize relevant information and prepare for financial difficulties within their household. It does not provide legal advice or legal representation.
14-day money-back guarantee. Within 14 days of the purchase, you may ask for a full refund for any reason, from Settings or by email; one refund per customer. A gift code that has not been redeemed is refunded to its buyer at any time; once it is redeemed, the file belongs to the person who received it and the purchase is no longer refundable, except for a technical problem. A technical problem that prevents you from obtaining your file and that we cannot fix, such as a payment that did not unlock the file or a PDF that cannot be generated, is refunded at any time, on a description of the problem and, if we ask for it, a screenshot.
Every refund request requires the purchase ID shown after payment and in Settings. Refunds go back to the original payment method, usually within 2 business days of our approval, and a refunded purchase is locked again in the app. Gift codes do not expire.
Our cancellation and refund policy is subject to applicable law. Nothing in this policy excludes or limits any mandatory rights you may have to cancel a purchase, withdraw from a contract, obtain a refund, or seek a remedy for a product or service that does not conform to applicable requirements.
Where required by applicable law, we will obtain your express consent to begin providing digital content immediately and your acknowledgment of any resulting effect on your right of withdrawal before delivery begins.
Not legal advice
Own & Owe is an information service. It does not give legal, tax or financial advice, does not choose forms, does not judge the fairness of any agreement and does not create a lawyer-client relationship. The calculator is arithmetic on your own assumptions. Rules vary by state, and state facts shown are sourced and dated information, each with its source, the day it was checked and whether an attorney licensed in the state has reviewed it. This product is not a substitute for the advice of an attorney.
Your responsibilities
Use only what you can legally access: your own records, joint accounts, joint tax returns, mail addressed to you and public records. Never log in to another person’s accounts, email or devices. Keep your access code and your downloaded PDF safe.
Governing law
These Terms shall be governed by the laws of France, except where applicable law provides otherwise.
Nothing in these Terms is intended to exclude or limit any mandatory consumer rights or protections that apply to your purchase or use of Own & Owe.
Disputes
If you have a question, complaint, or dispute concerning Own & Owe, please contact us at support@ownandowe.app so that we can attempt to resolve the matter informally.
If the matter cannot be resolved informally, either party may pursue the remedies available under applicable law before a court or other competent authority.
Nothing in these Terms prevents you from exercising any non-waivable rights available under applicable law.
Limitation
To the extent permitted by law, our liability is limited to the amount you paid. This does not limit liability that the law does not allow to be limited.
