Questions
What people ask before they begin. You can start with incomplete information and decide how far to go.
Is the 72-hour plan really free?
Yes. Your action plan and inventory are free. The $49.99 prepared file is optional.
Will my partner know?
Not from us: we never contact anyone about you, and your work stays encrypted on your device. Some things can still be noticed: the payment on your card statement, a receipt email, your browser history, and steps like a credit freeze. This site also carries a Google Ads tag: it leaves a cookie in your browser, Google learns which pages you visit, and Own & Owe ads may later appear on other sites, where someone sharing your device could see them. To stay discreet: use a private window and close it when you are done, pay with your own card or a gift code, give an email address only you can read, use shared-device mode on a computer you share, and press Esc twice to leave the site at once.
Do I need to know every account or balance?
No. Start with what you know. An amount you don’t know can stay blank: it becomes a question to discuss, and you can add details as you find them.
What if I’m not married?
Choose “Unmarried, living together” when the plan asks. Rules for married couples generally do not apply to you: whose name is on an account or a loan generally decides. Some states recognize claims between partners: ask a lawyer.
What if a case is already open?
Talk to your lawyer before following the plan. Once a case is filed, many states apply automatic orders that limit moving or spending shared money, and deadlines start running. The plan asks about this first and puts a warning at the top; the page “When to call a lawyer today” lists the urgent cases.
Can Own & Owe find hidden accounts?
No. It does not search for accounts or connect to any bank. It helps you organize what you can lawfully access, and the prepared file points to public records anyone can check.
Can the file be used against me?
It can be requested in a legal case. The facts in it are not confidential; only what you tell your lawyer can be. So write facts, not feelings, treat “separate” or “shared” labels as your own understanding, and ask your lawyer before sharing the file with anyone.
Is this legal advice?
No. Own & Owe helps you organize information. It does not provide legal advice. This product is not a substitute for the advice of an attorney.
What is included in the $49.99 file?
A PDF built from what you entered: your financial summary with the source of each figure, what is missing and where to look, documents to ask for, letters filled in, the dates to watch and public records to check. One-time payment. 14-day money-back guarantee: if the file doesn’t help you, send us your purchase ID and we refund you in full.
What if the file doesn’t help me?
You get your money back. Within 14 days of your purchase, for any reason, send us your purchase ID from Settings or by email and we refund you in full (one refund per customer). A gift code nobody has used is refunded at any time, and so is a technical problem we cannot fix, with a short description or a screenshot. The refund goes back to your card and the file is locked again.
Why is the file $49.99?
It is our launch price: 50% off the regular $99.99, for the first 100 buyers, gift codes included. After that the price goes to $99.99. What you pay at checkout is what you see on this page, once, with no subscription.
